I haven't done a lot of testing on this for myself (just 2 minutes last night) but based on the file located here:

it [physics and constraints] still appear to be broken in the beta. I hope others can confirm or correct me on this.
However, that aside... this upgrade has a ton of features (more than I was expecting) so I'm quite happy with my pre-order. And, I'm sure I'll get even happier when I've had more than 15 minutes to play with it.
