Bone & Object Movement More Intuitive in Carrara 5?

Bone & Object Movement More Intuitive in Carrara 5?

In past Carrara versions, movement of objects, (and bones), depended
on which view plane was active, requiring users to constantly adjust
viewing angles, select different view planes, or use translation
handles to assure desired X,Y and Z movements. Hexagon and Amapi both
use a different movement system based on the current viewing angle,
and its approximation to the "closest" 3D axes, (similar to Modo).
Does Carrara 5 share this method for moving objects?  Has there been
any substantial change in view plane dependency and activation?

Also, has there been any speed increase, (how much), in moving a
"skinned" character via IK manipulators, with the new Open GL realtime
functionality?

Thanks,

Greg Smith
