yup, very intriguing indeed. so what's the rumor mill saying, in light
of recent Maya acquisition, LW 8.5 launch, new MAX launch... and
MacWorld looming early January? It's always been a big event for Eovia
and companies with similar product. PErfect time to start selling a
new version bigtime. Especially after everybody has their Christmas
money ready for spending ;-)
My take? It's gotta be the new version of Carrara. But will it be
called Carrara 5? or Carrara X? Carrara 360?
Or is Apple finally saying it's time to have their own 3D for the
masses, iCarrara? now that Maya is no longer to be had... Or perhaps
Microsoft? After all, they got into the illustration software business
with the acquisition of a 2D raster & vector paint program,
Expression, (aka Acrylic), going after the
Illustrator/Painter/Photoshop business for webmasters, illustrators
and game art designers. There's gotta be something they want on the
3D side too, something everybody can afford, something immensely
powerful, easy to use.... to make more fantasy landscapes for more
Halo games and Flightsim releases and more.... perhaps we'll finally
see good exports for game content like Direct X format? Ahhhhh i wish
I'm holding my breathhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...........
