Subject: [Carrara] Carrara 5 before the end of the year?
By this time of the year, Eovia would have announced the introduction of
Carrara 5 if they
had been on their previous product revision cycle of 14 months (for the last
three
revisions). This would have put the release date before Christmas.
I guess this has changed with the introduction of Hexagon. Not that it took
programming
resources out of Carrara, because from what I know Hexagon was developed by
a team in
France which is different from the Carrara team in California. I wonder what
Eovia's
strategy is now that Hexagon is their flagship modeling tool. Will Hexagon
be bundled
when you order Carrara 5 upgrade?
Hopefully the reason for the new product revision cycle is that we are going
to get more
and better features that will make the wait worthwhile.
