He's cute, Fiona. :)  I don't think he's that far from completion.
Once you get the main turtle shell texture the way you like it, the
only thing I see is adding a shell texture bump map and tweaking the
shininess and highlight channels within the shader a bit.  And the
only suggestion I would have is to perhaps place the nostrils closer
to the turtle's mouth area, but other than that, he is a cute-looking
cartoon turtle. :) I also *really* like how you did your leaves and
flowers...very colorful and fanciful.  Is this image for a particular
assignment?
