Hello everyone. I am new to the this Group, and a soon to be new User
of
Carrara. I obtained Carrara Studio 3 Sidegrade from any Poser via
Curious Labs some time ago. Unfortunately, I neglected to purchase
Transposer, so I let Carrara languish on my hard disk. Oh, I have
played
with it now and again, trying to wrap my head around 'The Way of
Carrara', and hoping to be able to purchase C4 Pro upgrade for many
months. Fortunately I was able to do so on Saturday, along with the
Transposer 2 upgrade (much to my joy). I expect delivery today, so that
I can install it, obtain the update and install that, and Transposer 2.
Then I can begin to learn.
I came to 3D CGI late in life (almost 50), and began with Poser 4. Try
getting Programs and Content on a $400 per month Disability income,
even
when you don't have to pay rent or utilities, and you will know that
Affordable is a Relative term. Fortunately the family Trust helped with
some hardware and a couple of software items.
Eovia: Thank you for dropping the upgrade price for CS3 to C4Pro to
$169. This, plus my CC was upgraded from Partly Secured to Unsecured,
with the security deposit + interest applied to my balance, allowed me
to get the upgrades.
I'm just a hobbyist with pretensions of doing single frame render art.
Most of the time here, I will be a lurker reading the mail and trying
to
learn something.
