It's just a thought at this point, but Carrara-5 will hopefully be out
before the end of the year and what Eovia has traditionally done in the past
is to offer a free upgrade from the previous version to the new one if you
buy it after the new one is announced. That being the case, if you save a
few extra bucks over the next month or two and wait until a C5 ship date is
announced (which hopefully will be before Christmas time) then you might get
a pretty sweet deal by getting Carrara-4 standard or better yet, Pro. That
way you could bypass C3 altogether and be on top of the curve for the same
price as C-4.

I think a touch of patience and a little extra cash in this case will be
well worth it because I truly believe C-5 is going to bring the house down.

Thanks for both your answer. I might have to choose to go Carrara
first, you're right (see my other thread).
I come from Bryce, but I think it's time I move to something
different. Having played with Carrara Basics, I like it better over
Bryce.
