i'm using loadVars.sendAndLoad with a php script and i'm having a problem when
i get my
results back... all the php script is returning is one variable with value
(right now its a
number either 1 or 0). now the onLoad works for my dataReciever object, and i
can display
the value of the recieved variable in a text field, but i cant use that value
in my if else
statements for comparisons. flash will ignore any if statements that contain a
comparison
to that value as if they were incomaprible items (therefore totally bypassing
my if
statements). i've tried converting the value before comparisions as well as
assigning that
value to a new variable and comparing that but it never works.
on a side note, the php script recieves 2 values (user and a value) that are
sent from flash
and sends back either a 1 or 0 depending on the user entry. my other problem is
that i
cant dynamically set the outcome of 1 or 0 in the php because then flash doest
recieve any
value at all (as opposed to me hard setting the value just to see that i am
actually getting
something back). the inablity to dynamically set the php isnt in my lack of php
knowledge
because i've tested the php seperately to ensure that i was getting the correct
value when
the values were being set dynamically.
can anyone help? i've been wrestling with this for 2 days and i cant see why
flash wont use
that value in comparisons.
