Here's all I can think of to help.
A: Don't go unless you really have to.
B: Once you get there, do whatever law enforcement and other such peoples tell
you. Go where they say.
C: Bring servival equipment. Ya know, water, flash light, that kinda stuff.
D: Plan on who you will contact once lines are open again, so you can let
people know you're okay or if you're in trouble.
E: Wouldn't hurt to do a little research if you have time, into the emergency
evacuation proceedures etc, setup for the area.
F: Finally, would be good to know where Red Cross, Salvation Army, hospitals,
etc, are where you're planning on staying.
G: Pack lite.
I would suppose that's the best someone can do, but if you're really worried,
maybe you should talk to someone from the Red Cross or the like, who knows how
to survive in situations like this.
