Hi Ken,

It is fairly easy to accomplish, however, your logos would need to be
in  an Illustrator format to import them into Carrara.

What I have been experimenting with is marrying Zaxwerks Pro Animator
text with Carrara and it seems to be a really good combination.
Zaxwerks really shines with its fast edge features.  It also
facilitates certain preset text animation, although I think it is
sometimes a trade-off depending what is needed, due to ZPA's not so
straight forward animation interface and controls.

Carrara on the other hand is extremely powerful with both shading and
rendering, so if it is at all possible, I would snatch both.  The only
problem is that ZPA cost *much* more than Carrara and can do only a
fraction of what Carrara can accomplish: basically just text modeling
and animation.  So if you are really in pinch, you can do just as good
of a job in Carrara as in ZPA, except there is more upfront work in
Illustrator that a person has to do with edging to yield the same
results.

Some Examples:

Here is a ZPA render:

And here is a render done in Carrara with the same text exported from ZPA:

_ZPA_exported_text.jpg>

Notice the difference?

There is no support for GI and other types of rendering options in
ZPA, and although ZPA can produce some nice results
<http://www.zaxwerks.com/>, you pay a hefty price for it. [I am also
not sure of how much is actually ZPA and how much is other
plugins/packages creating some of their demos on their site.   I have
the package and have not seen many of the things demonstrated there.
So I think that it is safe to say that some may have also used ZPA as
a text creation tool and exported the text models to other 3D
animation packages, etc.].

IMO, whichever way you go, if you purchase Carrara, you will have a
standalone package that can not only do text work, but other types of
3D modeling as well as animation. If Carrara Studio Pro is going to be
put into a small to midsize editing suite, I think that Carrara will
help boost it to a new level.

Cheers.
