I think we need more information to help you.
WHERE are you getting the artifacts along the edges? In Photoshop? In Carrara? My guess is that the artifacting is a result of having the anti-aliasing set too LOW in Carrara, if they are showing up in your final rendering. But there could be several other causes. Tell us more.
Are you saving the images from Photoshop into JPEG format? If so, increase the quality of the jpegging.
