Got me on that one. I have all my folders in windows setup to see images as
thumbnails.. Of course I have twenty jillion folders named final, final,
final, final absolute done finished final etc. So I have no idea anymore
what's what. I just have to click and see because I got tired of fighting
it. ;)

It would be cool if Carrara, instead of saving renders etc as doc 1, 2, 3,
would take the name of the file (provided you named and saved it) you are
rendering. I.E. if I make a file called chess pieces.. the renders would be
named chess pieces 1, 2, 3 etc.. This would be way cool and save a lot of
time for guys like me. :-)

As for your question..

I have no good answer and while I use the folders for shaders, which are
very handy, the rest is kind of well. unused.

Steve,

That may work with objects, but what I want to do is save a rendered
picture from the render room to the browser and have a thumbnail of
the pic in the browser.  The problem is the rendered picture doesn't
show up on the timeline or properties panel so I don't see how I can
drag it to the browser.  When I save it to a file it doesn't give me
an option to save a thumbnail.
