Most tools are shared between Amapi D7 and Hexagon.  However, Hexagon
has a smoother and quicker interface to use.  Hexagon is also
forgiving on validating your actions (it assumes you wanted to
validate when you switch tools whereas Amapi will deny you the switch
until you validate what you've done).

Amapi D7 has basic NURBS support and Hexagon has none.  Amapi is very
precise and is intended towards the manufacturing companies.  Hexagon
is intended for organic modeling (people, dogs, etc) but is suitible
for other works that do not require absolutely precise measurements.

Examples: making a house from a floorplan is do-able in both programs.
However, making all the gears in portion to each other for a watch
that will be manufactured would be differcult to currently do in
Hexagon.  Amapi would do this and do this well.
