Very nice bone setup, Jeff.  Thanks for sharing it. :)

Also, I definitely see this as a possibility for leg movement as well.
 When I looked at your AVI file, I first saw it as an elbow and upper
arm, but then saw it as a calf and thigh.  So your rig has kind of an
M.C. Escher quality to it. ;)
