How do I shift a texture in Carrara?

No, not unless you do one of two things:

1) Use Shader Ops, a plug-in

2) Place the texture map in a rectangular shape
instead of projecting it directly on the bag.

What I do (because I'm just used to doing it) is
determine the exact proportions of the face I
want to project the texture map onto and then
I create the texture map in the exact position
on that face.

Important thing to remember: Carrara stretches
the image to fit the face you are projecting it on.
Therefore it is essential to make the proportions
of the texture map the same as the face. Carrara
also projects edge-to-edge onto the face. That
means, if you have any shape for your object,
Carrara will project the image to the farthest
edges on each side of it.

In other words, if you have a 3" X 5" face, you can
make the image to be projected 9" X 15" and it will
be fine. If, using that same image, you want a stripe
of color to start 1/2" below the edge of the face,
in your image (my example), place it 3/4" from the
edge.

Not exactly sure since I don't have Hexogon, but take the object
into the VM, select all of its vertices, and then apply smoothing
to it using the slider in the Properties Tray. That should help
some.
