YellowJacket Software ( http://www.yellowjacketsoftware.com ), an
innovator in providing cutting-edge trading applications for the
Weather and Energy Derivatives marketplace, is currently seeking a
Senior Client-Side Flash developer to join our growing team. The
ideal candidate has experience developing rich, interactive GUIs for
business applications and a solid grasp of object-oriented
programming principles. Candidates should posses a great deal of
initiative, creativity and problem solving ability as they will be
at the forefront of software development for the complex and growing
weather derivatives market.
The candidate must have vision and the ability to quickly grasp
complex concepts as the individual in this role will be responsible
for the rapid adaptation and prototyping of our product for other
complex markets.
Vision, leadership and integrity are key as you will have technical
responsibility over a product that supports the trading of several
$billion/yr of financial contracts.
You will be joining a team of MIT alumni that has experience in
bringing complex trading systems to market. The right candidate will
be expected to uphold the highest software engineering standards.
Excellence in a team environment is critical.
Technical Requirements:

* Minimum 3+ years experience using Flash
* Experience building dynamic, interactive business applications
* Proficiency in Flash MX Actionscript to dynamically drive
interfaces
* Strong understanding of consumer-focused UI design and information
architectures
* Knowledge in delivering interactive content in Flash using xml
and/or Flash Remoting
* Excellent knowledge of good software design principles and object-
oriented programming
* Familiarity with metadata driven software development
* Excellent code documentation skills
Management Requirements:

* Experience providing technology/architecture leadership and
strategic vision
* Experience in project management of a production system
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience mentoring peer or junior developers
Additional Skills Desired:

* Experience with web design and development languages (HTML, DHTML,
JavaScript, CSS, XML, JSP)
* Experience with Java development
* Familiarity with Northcode
* Experience with configuration management / versioning control
policies and tools
* Brokerage industry experience
