A tree export question...

A tree export question...

Hey all,
I have been experimenting with creating and exporting a few trees for
use with my, VectorWorks CAD, software for particular modeling reasons.
I have exported the trees in, 3dmf, dxf.  I am going to now try, IGS,
since, VectorWorks 10,  can import that format and .3dmf is practically
dead... (sad to say).

But what I am experiencing is that in either case the model exports
from, Carrara 3, perfectly and imports perfectly, (no shader colors),
but everything "but" the leaves comes across.  I have searched the
online Carrara3 manual and if I am not mistaken the "Trees" section in
the Glossary Index on page 90 isn't there and Acrobat 6 tells me that
those pages don't exist.
Do I need to convert the model before exporting?  Will the three
versions of tree format make a difference?  ie,. Centered, Hybrid or
Ramified.  Are the leaves of the trees a symbol that I need to convert
to polygons or a mesh or something?

Thank's!

Jerry
