take your 3D still rendering and shove it... back into 3D

Here's an interesting technology which can be used for walk-through
into a 2D painting, 2D drawing, 2D image from a 3D rendering, digital
photo... with a little bit of prep work on the raster image. You mask
a few items which you want to identify as being in the foreground or
background or in-between, and you 'imagine' the colors/pixels of the
hidden stuff behind them, and you're ready to recreate an animation in
AVI that flies through your original image.

It's freeware/beta and uses OpenGL. Very neat IMHO

Imagine you rendered a still image in Carrara and then your boss asks
you to take a walk through it. Well, it's a post-processing attempt at
creating good-enough of an effect that you might get that raise even
without creating the animation in your 3D and having to do costly
rendering.    :-)

It's rendered through OpenGL, texture mapped onto polygons with
transparency maps based on the 'hidden' info masks.
