I don't have any trouble getting translations and poses to port from Poser to Carrara using Transposer unless I use the Cloth Room draping or any kind of animation. In those cases, I need to advance the *Carrara* animation time-line to match where I wound up in Poser.
For example - Poser's cloth room typically uses a 30-frame animation to 'drape' the cloth over the figure. When I open that figure in Carrara using Transposer, I get the figure at *Frame 1* with the character/clothing in the 'zero state pose.' When I advance Carrara's time line to frame 30 and I see what I was seeing in Poser.
