Newbie A3 & A4 file sizes

Newbie A3 & A4 file sizes

Hi,
       I know file sizes and dpi stuff are a pain so I wont go there but
could anyone tell what figures I should put in for A4 and A3 size files
leaving it at the standard 72 dpi. I can always up that later. Im sure this
is a long answer ;-)
