Back OY! Better than I thought. The oversampled QT drops right into a timeline in Final Cut Pro, no downsizing needed. Looks fabulous on my 750-line NTSC monitor (although at 16:9, I'm obviously not getting 750 lines).
The 1656 x 956, 24 fps animation dropped right into a 24 fps timeline in FCP, and I was able to apply a cross-dissolve transition with 24 fps 16:9 live video footage.
