[Carrara] Need Help With A Shader Op...[look for image upload] 2004-04-13 - By ccoles_avengers
Back Hi Eric, All,
I am working on creating a wing of a bee which is looking okay for right now. I drew the outline of the bee's wing in the vertex modeler and have used the same exact image to texture the wing. However, there are two problems:
1) When I apply the texture of the wing, it seems to be slightly smaller than the polygon I drew and therefore a white edge appears. (btw, "white is invisible" is selected). I tried using the "Scale" Shader Op to blow up the texture map to get rid of the edges, however, it doesn't seem to work. Nothing seems to happen.
2) When I try "clipping" the texture map to get rid of the white, the white disappears , but the artifacts of the white edge are left behind. :( I tried cleaning this up in my 2D paint program, but for some reason, the edges look rough and ragged, no matter how I try to clean them up.
So basically, it seems that the best option is to be able to "Expand" the texture map inside the wing model to get rid of the white edge. How can I do this with Shader Ops (or any other means available)?
I'll try to upload an image or two so you can see what the problem is.
Thanks.
