OT: text generation 2004-04-12 - By Jerry Schwartz
Back I need to be able to generate text programmatically. Specifically, I'm creating VRML models to be imported into a particular program; and unfortunately, that program doesn't handle VRML string nodes. That leaves me with some unpleasant choices, and I'm looking for suggestions. Even text as 3D objects would be acceptable, I think, if I can import them as geometries into my VRML; or, in some ways preferable, I'd like to create my text as bitmaps that could be used to texture surfaces.
Does anyone know of any tools that could help me get there?
Regards,
Jerry Schwartz
