  | | | Way to detect whether drawing in LivePreview mode? | Way to detect whether drawing in LivePreview mode? 2004-03-19 - By Ryan Olson
Back Hi flashcoders,
I thought I'd seen something go by awhile back about this but I can't find it in the archives.
Is there a way to determine programmatically within a component's class whether or not the current drawing operations are being done for a live preview as opposed to the actual execution of a movie? I have a component that displays a certain way when used as part of an application, but I want it to display in a slightly different way (basically as an outline) in its live preview mode within the authoring environment. Is there a flag or something that can be queried to make a decision in the code about how to render?
Hmm.. perhaps it might have something to do with checking the player version since IIRC the player used within the authoring environment is slightly different from the "real" player?
Thanks
