Back It's very nice being able to hack the timeout a little. But for most purposes you should probably bear in mind that the scriptlimits setting exists for a very good reason. Having the flash player go completely unresponsive for any length of time is a real minus in terms of usability.
Breaking up the processing into smaller chunks (maybe using a loop in the timeline) will at least allow you to display status information as your enormous loop (or whatever) executes...
