rollOver under buttons-

rollOver under buttons-

2004-03-17       - By Erik

Hello all-
I'm building a small music site with flash
and am having a bit of a time with a simple
rollOver.

I have a mc that's called when it's rolled
over - then it plays the 'out' frames when it's
rolled out.  This clip is underneath a few buttons,
so when the mouse is over a button, it no longer
registers as over the mc.  If I place the mc layer
over the button layer, my buttons aren't clickable.

Here's the url:

http://www.hankmadison.com/music_flash.html

Click on the first cover on the left (Be the Sky)
and rollOver the first song (fireball).

Is there a way to either:

1. Place my rollOver mc on a layer above the buttons
and have the mouse 'see through' it thereby allowing
the buttons to be clickable...

-or-

2. Leave the rollOver mc layer below the buttons and
have the mouse still register the rollOver even when
it's on the buttons?

Or, am I approaching this the wrong way?

Any suggestions welcomed - thanks for your time!

-Erik
