Try using a curve filter in the glow channel for starters. Add two
extra points along the diagonal line (a little closer to either end of

I have a sphere with a bump map to create a rough surface I placed
the bump map also in the glow chanel so the raised areas would seem to
catch the light however I don 't want the shaded area In Hexagon you can place a square image in any of the three axis
planes x-y-z. Like in Carrara you will have to align the images
through a 2D program.
