Take that as a challenge if you will but one thing I 've been wishing
for (for a long time) is cross-posted in Hex & Carrara
Steven
Thanks for the idea/concept/setup with Hexagon.
Are you starting with importing a set of lines for starting shapes? or using
a background image as a guide? orHi Auggy
Well do you mean something like in the clip below? The sink can
actually have its edges extended to make an "all-in-one " counter top
(like a porcelain sink) if necessary or you can extenI am trying to make a countertop with a undermount sink.
I want the sink and counter to have the beveled edge blended. That
means the cut is round and smooth and blends right into the sink.
I don 'I would do it as a displacement map anything groove or even a terrain object (if the base
is flat). The key is to create a good relief map. The grayscale photo you have has
highlights shadows andsorry everyone
seems i found it in the manul but the pages are all messed up.
In the manual it says to learn more about cross sections see page 181
but i went to that page and it 's "importing true sI see in the manual that in a cross section vertex model
you can place a circle on the cross section with smaller circles
within the larger circle.
The result in the manual is that the outer circle Would this work well with a very high resolution mesh and a grayscale
displacement map?

Hi Doug
It sounds to me like you are describing what For what you describe I would create a shader with the texture then
just drag it onto the tray from the main shader. It creates a .cbr.

This is probably going to be something silly and simple that I am missing somehow but
here it is How do I create a .cbr file from scratch?
Let 's say I take a good photo of a texturehttp //fiona.beardsley.tripod.com/favorite_links.htm. I have a few links here for textures

Yeah after viewing the movie file I think that it could be done in
Carrara. The background/enviroI like them both. The toon version looks like a hand colored version
which is impressive as that it doesn 't look like a normally toon
converted 3D work.
So I vote for toon. -)

www.So some feedback would be appreciated. Which of these do you think a 7
year old (girl) would prefer for her wallpaper (computer)?
Regular - _http //www.sullysdragons.com/megan.jpg_

it would take some heavy work and big pc power in doing. if reproduced in Carrara.
Thanks Mike.

To Carrara@Bill don 't use subdivide
select all the facets and use the smooth option - then "convert " if you
want to edit after smoothing - quads stay quads.

When you export your movie in the export settings - under the html tab set the window as 'transpartent windowless ' - just copy the object code into your page where you need it.

Quick Question
As you know when we subdivide in the vertex modeler by default it triangulates the
models or objects.
Is there a way to set carrara so that it always subdivides in qIf you got the update for T2 then I didn 't think there was any real

may want to try it out. Hopefully some regular poser users can hWhat are the limitations of Transposer 2 in Carrara 4 Pro compared to
