I just tested this and I am not sure if this is the cleanest way to do it.
But it works OK.
I haven 't tried eliminating the need to use the mc parameter yet (the first
parameter).

Anybody know how to use TextSnapshot class (it 's an intrinsic class) it has
interesting methods like

dunno if this helps anyone but I had a similar problem with MX and MX2004 [w flash pro] + extension manager on OSX.
my unsatisfactory solution make sure no extensions were being used by both MX anWith some sleep I tried using eval() in just about every configuration
possible without any luck.
Is it just not possible or am I looking at the wrong way of doing it?

I need to create a component (MX 2004) that
knows when a button is clicked in the movieClip (parent I am using the Sol Edit to view Shared Object data. Problem is it does not
display dates and any SO data that contains dates actually breaks the
display. Is there an alternative to this?
